Borderland Arts will Meet March 7 at Bay West in the downstairs art room 6-8 pm.
A short informal business meeting will start the evening’s activities. We will be bringing in our collaboration pieces with the Marquette Poets Circle followed by a bit of show and tell. Bring an item or project to share with the group. It can be a work in progress or a piece you would like critiqued – no rules – just fun.
Borderland Visual Artists have been invited to collaborate with the Marquette Poets Circle this fall.
If you will recall our Borderland meetings in April and May involved local writers, Genean Granger and Stella Hansen, who read their poetry as the visual artists reacted to their choice of poems and in their own media. Now we look forward to a collaboration with the Marquette Poets Circle. To see what their group created as a gallery exhibit last year, please visit https://janeenpergrin.wixsite.com/mpcgallery
As the summer flows, and your artwork takes form, remember to keep back one or two pieces that you might submit for a poet to read into and to react. Learn more as this project evolves by attending the Borderland meetings.
