Local Artists (and several Borderland Arts members) had the amazing opportunity to work on our community mural project with Mia Tavonatti- world renowned artist and native Yooper. Working alongside Mia and Muralist Sky Black were 9 very talented students and a few members of our group. Borderland members; Christine Burns, Laura Lobner, Darlene Strand, Student/Borderland arts member Mirada Roberts, and Jeff Gurchinoff all contributed and were able to experience a bit of the mural painting process while creating something inspiring in our downtown Iron Mountain area. It was great to be a part of such a large group effort, and I cannot wait until the next one! If you have not yet seen it, check out the side of the Daily News building in downtown Iron Mountain.
